깜깜한 밀밭 에서 하룻밤 사이에 지름 240m 안에 409개의 원으로 구성된 프랙탈을 완벽하게 그릴 수 있을까?

지구 에너지의 발현, 외계인의 예술활동, 사기꾼들의 하룻밤 장난등 크롭서클에 대한 수많은 추측이 있지만 보고 있으면 절로 탄성이 나오는 기하학적인 그림들이 장난이나 꿈꾸는 자들의 머리에서 70년 넘게 줄기차게 나올 것으로 여겨지지는 않는다.   * 첫 핵폭탄이 사용된 1945년 이후 미국의 Crop Circle 보고 역시 급격히 늘어나게 된다.

물론 사람들이 만든 가짜도 종종 밝혀지곤 한다.

사람이 만들지 않은 진성 크롭써클은 그 두드러진 특징이 있다고 한다. 
  - 제작과정의 목격자 혹은 사람의 발자국이나 도구의 흔적이 없다.
  - 줄기 중간이 부러지지 않고 [[http://davidpratt.info/crop/crop0000f.jpg|늘어나거나 굽어]] 있으며 오랜기간 동안 죽지않고 살아 있다.

  - 상대적으로 짧은 시간 사이에 만들어 진다.

Crop circles are not created through mechanical or laser-like technologies. They are cast on the level of ‘sub-atomic energy imprints’ (that is, patterns underlying the atoms), and utilize the organic electromagnetic elements of the immediate environment and the particular geometry of the location, to achieve multidimensional manipulation. This would mean the ‘force’ shaping the crops was not acting at the atomic level but at the pre-matter condition of creation. Thus the patterns would follow spontaneously and not through linear surface forces. Some crop formations stimulate neurological and biological processes, others repress these processes. The language of these geometric forms operate at the level of geometric codes. Just as the 26 letters of the English language combine in countless different ways to create hundreds of thousands of meanings, so basic code units combine to form a universal language—they are present in all creations and are an inherent part of all blueprints of life and the universe. This is the language of biology, cells, DNA, and the elemental world. The intention is to imprint into the location fundamental frequency/wave patterns (including code structures) to influence the population in specific ways. The radius of influence is several thousands of miles for any one crop circle, and the formations are often related, even though thousands of miles apart and link together to create greater wholes (of frequency patterns). The informational influence of the circles still exist long after the physical impression has disappeared. They are indelibly imprinted into the ground, air, and local biological forms.

그동안의 크롭써클은 인간의 의식을 깨우기 위해 수수께끼 같은 아름다운 도형들로 이루어 졌다면 2001년 영국 햄프셔 근처에서 발생한 것들은 지금까지 나온 크롭써클중 가장 직접적이고 노골적인 메세지를 담고 있다.

1974년 11월 푸에트리코에 설치된 세계 최대의 전파 만원경 Arecibo 에서 저 먼 우주에 있을지도 모르는 외계생명체에 보내는 지구의 메세지를 쏴 올리는 행사를 진행한다.  1679개의 0과 1의 바이너리 코드로 구성된 [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arecibo_message| Arecibo 메세지]]는 [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Sagan| 칼 세이건]]에 의해 지구와 인간에 대한 개괄적인 정보를 담고 있는 내용으로 선정되었었다.

그 후 27년이 지난 2001년 8월 영국 햄프셔에 있는 Chilbolton 전파 만원경 근처 밀밭에 믿기 어려운 크롭써클 2개가 발생한다.\\

하나는 화성표면에서 발견된 얼굴과 유사한 문양 그리고 또 하나는 명백한 Arecibo 의 답장으로 보이는 그림이 나타난 것이다.\\

재미있는 것은 맨 아래 그들의 안테나 구조는 위 크롭써클이 나타나기 1년 전에 동일 장소에서 이미 나타났던 도형으로 밝혀졌다.\\

이보다 더 황당한 크롭써클은 정확히 1년후 Chilbolton 으로 부터 13Km 떨어진 Crabwood 에서 발생했다.\\

사각형 프레임에 60개의 TV 주사선으로 표현한 외계인이 이진수로 표현된 메세지를 담은 CD 모양의 디스크를 들고있는 모양의 크롭써클이 나타난 것이다. 

CD 에 담긴 내용은 아래와 같다. 

//"Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING (BELL SOUND)"//

대부분의 TV 나 영화에서 외계인 하면 지구를 침략하거나 인간을 납치하고 비인간적인 실험을 하는 무자비한 모습으로 그려진다. 전에도 언급 했듯이 외계인의 의식 수준은 결코 낮은 것이 아니다. 두개의 TV 라디오 안테나 아래 정확히 정렬되어 나타난 이 그림은 조작된 외계인에 대한 정보에 속지 말라는 의미를 전달하고 있을지도 모른다.

이 3번의 크롭써클은 2000년도 부터 2002년 까지 1년 간격으로 모두 8월에 같은 지역에서 발생했다.
(누군가 우리에게 메세지를 전달하고 싶어 입이 근질 거리는 것 같지 않는가?)

직접 나타나거나 전파를 보내지 않고 굳이 어려운 방식으로 밀밭에 그림을 그리는 이유는 무얼까? ET는 인류의 삶에 직접 개입 하지 않는다는 규칙을 지키며 근처에서 인간을 지켜보고 간접적으로 돕고 있다고 한다. 공개된 장소에 그림으로 전달하면 그들의 존재여부를 밝히기 싫어하는 소수의 사람들에 의해 교신 내용이 숨겨지거나 조작 되는 것을 막을 수 있다. 그러나 다른 존재가 보낸 메세지로 믿을지 아니면 어떤 사람의 장난질으로 치부할지는 전적으로 개개인의 자유에 맡겨져 있는 것이다.
